Description: There are several challenges associated with In vitro neurological research. Our patient-derived human neuronal progenitor cells were made from PBMCs, collected from substance abusing patients. The cells may be used for experimental applications including drug development, neurotoxicity, neurogenesis, and electrophysiology.NPs have normal Karyotype and maintain a normal Karyotype for eight passages. Cells have never been exposed to serum, albumin, dissociation enzymes, or animal products. Cells have been shown to differentiate into neurons (Gabaergic and Serotonergic), astrocytes and oligodendrocytes. Cells are positive for NMDA receptors and have a slightly faster rate of proliferation when compared to a control population of NPs. |
